Unrepresented

UnRepresented is an award-winning documentary that uncovers the mechanisms that drive the cycle of corruption in Congress—giving political insiders enormous, unchecked power. The film explores how special interests bankroll political campaigns and relentlessly lobby to rig the system in their favor, all while following the letter of the law.

Featuring luminaries and leaders including Harvard Law professor Lawrence Lessig and former member of Congress Rep. Justin Amash, the film reveals the powerful possibilities to reform our government to better represent the people

UnRepresented serves as a rallying call to bring committed public servants, activists and everyday Americans together to take action across partisan lines to change our flawed political system.

Directed by Dan Falconer

Produced and conceived by Andrew Rodney

Honey Moon :

a cyclical Gothic Love Trauma

Episodes 1 & 2

It is the story of a man who has fallen through the cracks of the social order and is looking for love to solve his problems. He looks for his dead wife and tries to help her remember their life together.

Shot on one of the earliest DSLR cameras (Nikon D90) in 2011 in Cincinnati's OTR and Detroit. The dialogue was improvised and discussed from a basic blueprint of the scenes. All work, equipment, and sets were donated.

This Is a video I have worked on sometimes periodically and other times obsessively for about 12 years. I tried to make this unfinished no-budget film into a feature film, but years of struggle and obsession turned into a very real way that art can really destroy lives. I release this knowing some of the very negative and positive effects that our dreams and fictions have on our lives. The story itself came true in many ways in my own family yet again many years after the film was shot. And now I release it with the hope that if you treat a horrific situation with compassion you might find some truly strange and inspiring things you wouldn't have seen otherwise by forcing you to reevaluate your ideas of some really basic things like love and right and wrong.

Please check it out–on a large screen in the dark would be best because it is a film intended to be seen in the dark of moonlight. And if you do, let me know what you think about it, whether good or ill, especially as it is meant to be a contemplative and challenging experience which might take time to reconcile and understand.

So here it is, Episodes 1 and 2 of the micro-series version of Honey Moon - a cyclical Gothic Love Trauma.

More credits to come… under construction….
